  • (1) Takeda will maintain personal data accurately and securely within the scope necessary for the achievement of purposes of utilisation.
  • (2) Takeda will take reasonable measures for information security against unauthorised access in order to prevent the loss, destruction, falsification and leakage of personal data. Despite this we cannot guarantee that loss, misuse or alteration to data will not occur;

5. Disclosure of retained personal data, etc.

When any person who is the subject of Takeda's retained personal data requests Takeda to disclose, correct, add, delete, discontinue using or erase such data, Takeda will appropriately respond to such request in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. However, there may be exceptions to this rule where personal data must be kept for example, collection of data relating to possible drug side effects (Adverse Events) or criminal investigations

6. Internal system for control and protection of personal information

  • (1) Takeda will appropriately establish and maintain internal systems for control and protection of personal information. This is the responsibility of our Data Protection Officer.
  • (2) Takeda will educate and exercise necessary and appropriate supervision over its employees concerning appropriate control and protection of personal information.

7. Utilisation of Personal data submitted via this website

Please note that by submitting personally identifiable information, you are consenting to such information being stored and processed for the purposes listed below:

  • a) General
    We may use the information to verify your healthcare professional status, to improve our level of service, to improve the content of our website, to respond to your requests and for our own internal purposes such as responding to Medical Information Requests or handling of data relating to Adverse Events.

  • b) Recruitment – job applicants, current and future Takeda employees
    When individuals apply to work at Takeda, we will only use the information they supply to us via the website to process their application. Prior to employment, where we want to disclose information to a third party, for example where we want to take up a reference or obtain a 'disclosure' from the Criminal Records Bureau we will not do so without informing them beforehand unless the disclosure is required by law.

    Speculative Candidates
    As a rule we do not solicit speculative applications (i.e. those not applying for an advertised role). If these are received, personal information about speculative candidates will not be retained. An automated reply will be received by the sender and their details will not be kept.

    Advertised Roles
    Personal information about unsuccessful candidates will be held for a minimum of six months and up to a maximum of 12 months after an appointment has been made, it will then be destroyed/deleted.

    Applicants should be aware that their details may be shared with other group companies, if it is thought that there may be suitable roles.

    Once a person has taken up employment with Takeda, we will compile a file relating to their employment. The information contained in this will be kept secure and will only be used for purposes directly relevant to that person's employment. Once their employment with Takeda has ended, we will retain the file in accordance with the requirements of our retention schedule and then confidentially destroy it.

  • c) Other important Information
    Our website provides links to other third party web sites. The privacy policy described here does not apply to those sites. Please ensure you check the legal and privacy policy sections of any site you access.

    Takeda makes use of Google Analytics which is a web analytics tool that helps website owners understand how visitors engage with their website.     Google's Use of Analytics Data
