Reporting to our MCO UK & Ireland Business Controller, this is a new 6 month Fixed Term Contract opportunity for an ACA/ACCA qualified Accountant to take ownership of the internal audit process and ensure compliance across the Takeda UK business units.

The successful candidate will ideally have a minimum of 5 years relevant experience, with significant auditing and accounting experience (ideally UKGAAP SOX).

Working closely with the Finance and Compliance teams, the key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring all audits are compliant with industry standards and internal procedures, specifically preparing the business for audit in 2018
  • Assisting with the planning and finalisation of all areas of the audit assignment ready for Manager review
  • Proactively critically assess processes and systems in all parts of the business to identify areas of risk, non-compliance and internal control gaps and initiating action to remedy
  • Ensure all relevant Standard Operation Procedures are reviewed and updated
  • Lead on the new SAP script testing and self-audit tool across the local business to ensure its effective use by tool owners.
